When does the program start?

  • Classes begin December 6, 2021.
  • Tuesday/Thursday 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Is there an application process? How do I get started?

  • The Northwestern Cybersecurity Boot Camp has an application process and is not open enrollment. An initial phone interview with an admissions adviser is the first step in the process for program admission. Applicants who are recommended to move forward will take a required critical thinking and problem-solving assessment. After both application review and passing the academic assessment, qualified candidates will proceed to a final interview. Note: All accepted students are required to sign an IT Acceptable Use Policy prior to the start of the program.

Can I keep working while studying at the Cybersecurity Boot Camp?

  • Yes. The non-credit, part-time certificate program is designed for working professionals who are actively pursuing a career change or career advancement.

How long does it take to complete the program?

  • The program is part-time. Students will complete the program in six months (24 weeks).

Do you provide career planning support?

  • Yes. We offer all of our students career support and coaching as well as resume support, interview preparation, and experiential learning opportunities.

Do I need to have previous experience in cybersecurity before applying?

  • The only requirement is that you are at least 18 years of age and have earned a high school diploma or GED. While some background is beneficial, no experience in cybersecurity is required. Our pre-course tutorials will help you prepare for our program.

  • Program tuition is $12,495*. Students may explore private student loans or a payment plan option with their admissions adviser. *Listed program tuition is valid through the 2021-22 academic year ending August 31, 2022 and tuition is subject to change.
